Designated Affiliate
Designated Affiliate members shall be individuals who are interested in the real estate business as salaried employees of banks, savings and loan associations, abstract and title companies, public utilities, educational, governmental, or other similar organizations, but are not engaged in real estate activity on their own account or in association with a licensed real estate broker, who are in sympathy with the objects of the Association, and who:
- Are the first applicant for their company and whom their Corporation has named as the Designated Affiliate Member to whom all corporate billing information is sent.
- Submit completed application form;
- Agree to pay semi-annual dues of $125 (yearly dues of $250) when you are billed for them.
CAR Affiliate
Affiliate members shall be individuals who are interested in the real estate business as salaried employees of banks, savings and loan associations, abstract and title companies, public utilities, educational, governmental, or other similar organizations, but are not engaged in real estate activity on their own account or in association with a licensed real estate broker, who are in sympathy with the objects of the Association, and who:
- Are applying for membership as an employee of a Corporation that has already named a Designated Affiliate.
- Submit completed application form;
- Agree to pay semi-annual dues of $50 (yearly dues of $100) when you are billed for them.
CAR and MAR Affiliate
Michigan Association of REALTORS (MAR) Affiliate members shall be individuals who are interested in the real estate business as salaried employees of banks, savings and loan associations, abstract and title companies, public utilities, educational, governmental, or other similar organizations, but are not engaged in real estate activity on their own account or in association with a licensed real estate broker, who are in sympathy with the objects of the Association, and who:
- Specify on the application by checking the box titled, “Affiliate of CAR & MAR;”
- Agree to pay yearly MAR dues ($100) when you are billed for them.
Former Affiliates
Former members may reinstate to the same membership within one year of the date of termination by paying a reinstatement fee equal to one-half of the current yearly board dues and all outstanding amounts, if any.
