The May 20 Walking Tour of 111 Lyon (5/3 Bank building) , led by CARWM member and project developer Sam Cummings, showed the transformation of a former office building into 140 apartments.   Attendees learned what should be considered when undertaking this type of project, and saw first hand the newly created living spaces.   The tenant amenities are many, including an indoor pool, gym, common areas for large gatherings, and storage spaces.  Cummings stressed that understanding the building structure and securing architecture and design specialists are critical for project success.  Thank you, Sam Cummings, for the informative tour.

The Kalamazoo Market Outlook was held Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at 155 W. Michigan, downtown Kalamazoo.  The panel discussion focused on the growth and development within the downtown area, including the new arena complex currently under construction.

Panelists Tom Kramer (Chicago Title), Jim Feltch (Elite Companies), Tim Rayman (Greenleaf Hospitality Group), Riley Lukomski (Southwest Michigan First Chamber), and Curt Aardema (Kalamazoo Downtown Development Authority), shared details about current happenings and upcoming projects that will benefit the Kalamazoo area.  Led by Moderator Andrew Gyorkos (Kalamazoo Commercial Real Estate), the panel provided great insights and details to nearly 100 attendees.
